Elginconnects Community Portal Implementation Now Underway!
Donna Lunn and the team at elginconnects are very pleased
to announce that the process has begun to develop a comprehensive
Internet gateway to Elgin and St. Thomas information and services
- our own Community Portal!
Each stakeholder organization and municipality needs to get involved
in guiding the portal’s development and to ensure that their
valuable information and services can be easily found and accessed
through this new tool. A number of experts will assist in this
critical preparation work and will work with you in identifying
your requirements for participation in the portal and the new
electronic services it will include.
A process has been developed to complete the steps required prior
to the portal’s implementation and launch on the Internet.
Your participation and input is critical in this process. During
the process, representatives will be invited to attend workshops,
where they will provide input as to end users’/clients’
requirements for the information and services organizations like
yourselves deliver. Following these sessions, the implementation
team will work with each organization in identifying the content
and processes required to provide the best possible portal experience
to the people you serve.
